Step aboard, me hearties, for the Pirate Pub Crawl. A rollickin’ ramble through Bristol’s Old Town and Harbourside, callin’ at five storied pubs and taverns steeped in salty legend.
Your local guide, yer trusty shipmate for this voyage, will spin yarns of the fearsome Blackbeard and the notorious castaway whose real‑life misadventures birthed the tale of Robinson Crusoe.
As ye raise a tankard in each tavern, ye’ll chart the rise and fall of the Golden Age o’ Piracy, spy smugglers’ tunnels, drink in Long John Silver’s own haunt, and uncover a treasure trove of mischief and more besides!
Now for the details – your tour begins outside the Hatchet Inn, Bristol’s Oldest pub and once the haunt of the world’s most famous pirate, Blackbeard.
Your guide (dressed in full pirate costume) will begin by describing the Golden age of Piracy before you enter for your first drink.
You will then be lead down the cobblestoned alleyways of Bristol towards the harbour side and pass streets which were the hunting ground for press gangs.
Your route includes 5 pubs and taverns all steeped in maritime legend. At each pub you will receive one drink and hear tales of swashbuckling adventure.
Your tour then finishes at the Ostrich Inn on the waterfront, where you can finish your night by singing sea shanties with the locals whilst observing the smugglers tunnels still visible in the walls.
Your ticket includes 5 drinks per person which can either be a half pint of local beer/cider or a shot of rum, but you are most welcome to purchase more drinks en route.
